Some Great Steals

Lace Peplum Dress
As much as many of us would like to be those models wearing all the beautiful pieces from the latest magazine editorials, reality always keeps us in check. But that doesn't mean that we can't look like them with affordable clothing right?! So I thought I would share some of the spring/summer steals from forever 21 with you that could make us trendy without being broke. Hope you find something nice....

Electrified Neon

Yesterday, I finally got the courage to wear this eye-blinding (according to my dramatic friends) neon tights with just a simple white shirt. The comfortable feeling and the neon color totally makes it my new favorite piece that I am dying to share with you. So here are some shots of what I wore, except the heels. You will see what I wore at the end to fight with enormous number of stairs and hills on campus!
PS: I am looking for new ways to wear this tights, so feel free to drop off some of your thoughts please. :)

Great Night, Bad Shots

It felt so great to finally go out with friends and danced off the stress in a super crowded bar!We, being our usual selves, took a bunch of photos, acting cray-cray after the bar closed... Here are some of the better pictures of my IC fam-gang out of all the bad ones! Why are night shots so hard to take?!?!?!

Can someone please give me some tips to take better night photos with my little Canon S95????

  Have a great Sunday!

I'm Not Normal!

Hi Everyone!!!!
I am just so excited to be back to my little blogging world after the whole week of catching up with scientific papers! And it was killing me so badly for not being able to share anything!

Over the weekend, I got a message that "Normal's not enough" from the battlecry conference for youth ministry. Aside from the religious inspiration, it kind of reminds me of " Why fit in when you were born to stand out?" Being normal is not a bad thing, but also don't forget that everyone is special. For me, it has a special meaning especially now that I am graduating from college in 3 weeks but I'm still not sure about what to do.

While I am sorting things out, I constantly reminds myself to not trying to fit in and be part of 'normal' created by the society, but to be true to myself. Yes I am a biochem major student. Yes I am thinking of working in fashion industry right now. My path might be different from what people consider to be 'normal'. But I am not going to suppress the love for fashion and arts nor am I going to deny the desire to work in a hospital, helping patients. I will do where my passion leads not where people think I should be because 'normal' is not enough to make me live my life!

So If you have characters, ideas, passions or dreams that is different from the majority, please don't give them up so that you can be seen as being normal! Actually, make sure you hold onto them and fight for them and let youself shine for who you are.

Ohh wow..I didn't expect to write this much. Hope you don't get lost and overwhelmed in all the words!!!

Melting Pot

Give me 5 minutes and I will put on everything that I have. Yup, that's exactly what I did today. Rushing to go to class, I started layering myself as fast as possible and when I knew, I already had denim, chiffon and leatherette on myself. I guess days and nights of reading fashion blogs is starting to get me into mix-matching different materials or styles like a melting pot ...

I wish I could show you this lovely orange shirt by itself, but I got it all tangled at the back when I wore it with a chain bag. So now, I can only wear it with a jacket or something which cover its beauty. :(

Lesson learned: Pay special attention when you are wearing chiffon materials because they are so thin and delicate that anything could scratch them.

My weekend starts today because I will be away for a conference/retreat.
So see you all when I am back!
Have a great weekend!!!

As the weather is getting nicer, it's time to power up our body for the summer!!! And YES, you can now look as stylish as you want to be while working out or while going out with some of your sports pieces like neon sneaker, neon socks, vest, sports shorts! Looking at these pictures, I am dying to go through all my drawers, get sporty mix match and sprint out of the door. Oh, no, wait, ithaca is still freezing.... :/
Well, for those of us who still live in north pole like weather - we can look at these pictures to prepare for later. For those who are already enjoying a pretty weather - it's time to show your sporty side. :)
